living with a TBI - V2

Living with a TBI
Here are some notes on what it’s like to be me.

-It seems that my past life returns to me in flashbacks
-There are defining moments when it seems that my intelligence returns
-I’m always cold
-I have a memory of about 10 seconds in length
-I have very little patience
-I behave as if one who experiences O.C.D. might
-I’m very irritable
-It feels as if I always have food stuck in my teeth
-I feel as though I’m experiencing life on the outside of a fishbowl, while, looking in
-I can't eat hard foods, such as crusty bread
-I can't eat "hot" food, both in temperature and spiciness
-I prefer to have food heated up in the microwave, not in the toaster
-It's quite easy for food to "go down the wrong pipe", making me cough

This is a great start for your blog! I especially liked reading about what it's like to live with TBI--this would make a good start for your book. Keep up the good work!

I'd like to see some pictures too.

Loved working with you.

Joe,

With your determination and love of life, I know that you are going to continue making wonderful progress in overcoming these obstacles.

My admiration for you runs very deep. You always treated me like family and I always considered you to be my second father. Just as you always believed in me, I shall always believe in you.

But, the most important thing to consider here is that I can see you believe in yourself now more than ever!

I look forward to reading your posts and will be an active participant on your blog.

Peace be with you,

Andy

Joe,

I continue to be amazed at your fortitude. This site is a terrific idea and I look foward to communicating with you more frequently.

I hope to see you in the next 60 days as I firm up plans for a trip back to Boston. I'll contact you when I get details.

God Bless. Norm
