Instructions for donating to BIAC

A newspaper article about me appeared in the Glastonbury Citizen on June 23, 2011. It mentions that I'd like to solicit funds for the Brain Injury Association of CT (BIAC). If you are comfortable using a secure website, my page on the site BIAC has engaged as a platform for the fundraising effort is:

http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/joe-damon/tour-of-lights-bike-a-thon?fge=thanks.

If you are uncomfortable performing financial transactions over the web, the address for BIAC is:
200 Day Hill Road, Suite 250, Windsor, CT 06095. Their phone number is (860)219-0291. Please note "Bike-A-Thon/Joe Damon" in the memo section of your check.

Thank you.

an OVERDUE return to BLOGging

I almost forgot my address and password to log-on to Blogger!! ... because it's been so long since I've posted.

I begin by making a list of subjects that I must/will expand on. I will continue posting, but if you are anxious about any particular item please post a comment to that effect and push me to get going.

I can't recall the way to create an orderly table (which I figured) so I'll just make a running list!

We vacationed in Falmouth on Cape Cod in August/September 2010, I was awarded the 2010 Volunteer of the Year Award in September, I've helped Gaylord Hospital raise funds for the past year, I presented at a local Boy Scout troop Court of Honor ceremony in October, I helped organize the 2011 BIAC Bike-A-Thon, in May I completed the metric century bike ride at the 2011 BIAC Bike-A-Thon, in April I addressed 5 university psych classes at CCSU in New Britian, in early May I spoke to a psych class at ESCU in Willimantic, and on 6/23 the Glastonbury Citizen newspaper released an article about my recovery from my TBI.

My daughter, Kate and her wonderful husband, Dan Okun, produced the most beautiful baby girl, Gianna Lynn, on May 20, 2011. Gianna is my first grandchild!

Rather than expose folks to my poor photography, please see my wife's website/BLOG for many remarkable photos of Gianna. Please visit lynndamon.com.
